Facilitation

is about helping people to engage, develop, manage and flourish in times and situations of change within their teams or corporate structures
provides discreet, dedicated space for probing issues, relationship development, decision making, team development and increased levels of participation
Facilitators
take an overall view of any particular issue providing energy and a platform for problem solving and helping decision making processes, supporting groups, social and cognitive processes
normally remain neutral on content and value and respect groups' need to learn from processes; they will however summarise or provide direction as needed
Leadership or high performing teams use facilitated sessions
where they wish to resolve an internal problem or perhaps develop a mission statement
if they want help in developing new ideas, thinking or to gain clarity on an existing operational problem
to work on new strategies, market approaches or bring together a pool of new ideas
